Glass Cedar Rose Pendants

The flower patterns in our Cedar Rose pendants seem to unfurl from their tightly clenched centers, evolving from within while their shimmering hues add visual warmth to their appearance. A unique gift or an intriguing focal bead in any jewelry design, these glass pendants are created when we draw dots of glass on the end of a hollow glass tube heated in a flame. The dots are heated, melted, and blended, then flattened and pushed into the clear glass using a graphite paddle to create the pattern. In some pieces, we add a colored backing or pattern to the back of the pendant; others are left clear. We add a loop and check for imperfections before placing the pendant in a computerized kiln to anneal, which will remove any stresses in the glass to ensure a strong and durable piece of art ready to wear.
