We have so much fun making Glass Pinwheel pendants—their designs are colorful and elaborate, and their spiraling patterns seem to have a playful movement to them. To form these beautiful glass pendants, we gather molten glass on the end of a solid glass rod and then marver the glass to a point. Then, we draw dots all around the tip, heat the dots, and blend them in, twisting every dot using a tungsten pick. The design is then flattened and a loop is formed at the top to form the pendant. After the pendant has been formed in the flame, it is placed in a computerized kiln to anneal. The annealing process removes any stresses in the glass to ensure that your beautiful pendant will be strong and durable for a lifetime.
